Default How to find the serial number of your Cisco unit

Just about all Cisco equipment has a serial number sticker, here is a hint to help you find it. For example, the older routers 2600 all the way up to the newer 3700 series switches, the serial number should be displayed on a sticker on the back side of the unit. If you are working with a Catalyst 6500 or any other modular switch (including wic and NM’s or any other removable unit) the serial number will be found on the PC board of the unit.
